Good news and Bad

Hello!

Lots of exciting things have been happening lately, most good and some bad.  First lets start off with the good! Mimi, the one eyed kitten, has found a new and wonderful home.  She has adjusted well to her new home and roommate.  Lets wish her lots of luck and a long life! Secondly: Gabe, the president of Beeb Rescue, has been admitted to UC Davis for Veterinary School!  This is a very exciting time but also somewhat sad.  With Gabes departure at the end of July, Beeb Rescue will be closing it’s doors.  We still have lots of wonderful cats available for adoption and that will need to find new homes before we shut down.  This website will stay up and contact information for Gabe will be kept current should anyone that has adopted a Beeb need him.  Beeb Rescue will not be gone forever.  There are too many homeless animals out there and Gabe is too soft to stay away for long.  When the organization returns, it will be with the same as it was except for one important thing: the president will be a veterinarian.  A sincere and warm thank you to all the individuals who have helped us throughout the years.  We couldn’t have done it without you.

We are now closed.

Well, the time has come for Beeb Rescue to close. We thank everyone that has donated time, money and advice. Our organization will cease to exist legally and we will no longer be a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization. Donations will no longer be solicited, and monetary donations will not be accepted at all.. However, We are pleased to announce that, due to a very generous gift from the staff of Broadway Animal Hospital, none of our sanctuary kitties had to be put to sleep! They all get to live at Broadway, and the staff are taking care of them while Gabe is off learning how to be a veterinarian. A very deep and heartfelt thank you to them… Should anyone ever question their kindness and dedication to our animals, ill give them seventeen good reasons to change their minds: Bill, Deanna, Beverly, Kara, Zelda, Opelio, Laverne, Shirley, Mora, Cat 26, Sabrina, Carl, Chieks, Gary, Cammie, and Geraldine.

All good things come to an end, but no one ever said they can’t begin again later…

It’s hard being a kitten, growing takes a lot out of you. Kitten is steadily increasing in weight and his appetite is amazing!
