Good news and Bad

Hello!

Lots of exciting things have been happening lately, most good and some bad.  First lets start off with the good! Mimi, the one eyed kitten, has found a new and wonderful home.  She has adjusted well to her new home and roommate.  Lets wish her lots of luck and a long life! Secondly: Gabe, the president of Beeb Rescue, has been admitted to UC Davis for Veterinary School!  This is a very exciting time but also somewhat sad.  With Gabes departure at the end of July, Beeb Rescue will be closing it’s doors.  We still have lots of wonderful cats available for adoption and that will need to find new homes before we shut down.  This website will stay up and contact information for Gabe will be kept current should anyone that has adopted a Beeb need him.  Beeb Rescue will not be gone forever.  There are too many homeless animals out there and Gabe is too soft to stay away for long.  When the organization returns, it will be with the same as it was except for one important thing: the president will be a veterinarian.  A sincere and warm thank you to all the individuals who have helped us throughout the years.  We couldn’t have done it without you.

Its hard being a kitten..

It’s hard being a kitten, growing takes a lot out of you. Kitten is steadily increasing in weight and his appetite is amazing!

Mercy is doing fantastic! So far the socket seems quiet, the last abscess is gone and is showing no sign of returning. She was tested for leukemia a couple of days ago and came out negative. Shes eating solid dry food, still has diarrhea (likely due to the antbiotics) and is using the potty box with newspaper. Next step is to try her on clumping litter. In short shes ready to go home!

Mercy

Meet mercy Or Mimi, we can’t decide yet! She was found by an extremely nice man while jogging. She had a severe upper respiratory infection that caused her right eye to rupture and scar the cornea of her left one. The ruptured eye has been removed thanks to Dr. Mueller and now we just wait. This little girl needs lots of love and good wishes for her recovery! If all goes well she will be adoptable in two months or so!
